Ballet

Students in our ballet program will refine classical ballet techniques with a prioritized focus on proper alignment and strength. Dancers will learn correct terminology and study classical Ballets such as "Giselle" and "Swan Lake" to encourage a love and appreciation for ballet. Exercises focus on classical technique, proper turnout and alignment, coordination, and quality of movement.

Placement in our Ballet program is done through audition or a trial class.

All of our ballet classes participate in our studio production of “The Nutcracker.”

Dress Code for all ballet classes:

  • Leotard

  • Pink tights

  • Ballet shoes (canvas only- No leather)

  • Hair in a bun (secure enough that it does not fall out during class)

  • Optional: Ballet Skirt

Ballet 1

Ballet 1 is an introductory ballet course that fosters musicality, body awareness, and individual artistry. Students will also study Classical Ballets to encourage a love and appreciation for ballet. Excercises focus on classical ballet terminology and technique, intro to proper turnout, coordination, and speed of movement.

Dancers in this class will perform a piece in our production of “The Nutcracker,” as well as in our Spring Recital.

Weekly Commitment: 1 hour

Weekly Schedule: Mondays 4:00-5:00 or Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 or Tuesdays 6:00-7:00

Monthly Tuition: $70

Additional Costs: Registration fee ($30), Nutcracker costume fee ($75), Spring Showcase Costume fee ($75)

Ballet 2

Ballet 2 is a beginning level ballet course that fosters musicality, body awareness, and individual artistry. Students will also study Classical Ballets to encourage a love and appreciation for ballet. Excercises focus on classical ballet terminology and technique, proper turnout, coordination, and speed of movement, and proper port de bras.

Dancers in this class will perform a piece in our production of “The Nutcracker,” as well as in our Spring Recital.

Weekly Commitment: 1 hour

Weekly Schedule: Mondays 5:45-6:45 or Thursdays 4:00-5:00

Monthly Tuition: $70

Ballet 3

Ballet 3 is a beginning to intermediate level ballet course that develops strong musicality, body awareness, individual artistry, and proper ballet technique. Students will also study Classical Ballets to encourage a love and appreciation for ballet. Exercises focus on classical ballet terminology and technique, proper turnout, coordination, speed of movement, and proper port de bras.

Dancers in this class are eligible to enroll in Pre-Pointe.

Dancers in this class will perform two pieces in our production of “The Nutcracker,” and one piece in our Spring Recital.

Weekly Commitment: 2 hours

Weekly Schedule: Tuesdays 6:15-7:15 and Wednesdays 4:00-5:00

Monthly Tuition: $104

Additional Costs: Registration fee ($30), Nutcracker costume fee ($75), Spring Showcase Costume fee ($75)

Pre- Pointe 3/4 & Pre- Pointe 5

Pre-Pointe is an intermediate level ballet course that develops proper strength in the ankles and feet. This class will focus on the use of proper alignment and technique in preparation for dancers to go on pointe. This class does not participate in any performances.

Only dancers enrolled in Ballet 3, 4, & 5 are eligible to enroll in pre-pointe.

Weekly Commitment: 45 minutes

Weekly Schedule: Wednesdays 3:00-3:45 or Thursdays 5:45-6:30

Monthly Tuition: $60

Ballet 4

Ballet 4 is an intermediate level course where students will focus on classical ballet techniques and terminology, as well as improve their strength and alignment. Dancers in this course will learn to execute choreography from professional Ballets, such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Paquita,” and “Swan Lake.”

Dancers in this class are eligible to enroll in Pre-Pointe.

Dancers in this class will perform two pieces in our production of “The Nutcracker,” and one piece in our Spring Recital.

Weekly Commitment: 3 hours

Weekly Schedule: Mondays 4:45-5:45 and Tuesdays 6:15-8:15

Monthly Tuition: $149

Additional Costs: Registration fee ($30), Nutcracker costume fee ($100), Spring Showcase Costume fee ($50)

Ballet 5

Ballet 5 is an intermediate to advanced level course where students will focus on classical ballet techniques and terminology, as well as improve their strength and alignment. Dancers in this course will learn to execute choreography from professional Ballets, such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Paquita,” and “Swan Lake.” Students will also start developing introductory work in partnering.

Dancers in this class will perform two pieces in our production of “The Nutcracker,” and one piece in our Spring Recital.

Dancers in this class are eligible to enroll in Pre-Pointe.

Weekly Commitment: 4 hours

Weekly Schedule: Mondays 5:45-7:45 and Wednesdays 3:45-5:45

Monthly Tuition: $190
